Ninnie
I teach vinyasa flow and yin yoga with a mindfulness practice woven into the classes. - I wasn't born naturally flexible or strong, and my mind had a tendency to always wonder to my to do list. - When I started my yoga practice many years ago I suffered from backpain and I struggled to even hold plank pose for a few seconds. I couldn't even raise my arms straight above my head, nevermind standing on it. Spending my days at a desk job had taken it's toll on my body. But the time I set aside for my yoga practice always felt worthwhile. I would often felt focused and present on the mat, and afterwards I would feel relax and calm, like I was floating on clouds leaving a class, this feeling known as a "yoga high". Yoga as a movement practice had not only made my body stronger and more flexible but had also help me to calm my mind. I felt more grounded and connected to myself, my surroundings and the present moment. I know how challenging it can be as a student. That is why as a teacher I seek to empower and inspire my students on their own yoga journey, starting from where they are right now. I see myself as a lifelong learner and forever student of yoga as much as I am a teacher. I have trained with Cathy Madeo (alignment based vinyasa) Ellen Mosk (yin yoga) and I have completed over 500hr of yoga teacher training. Yoga has become a path and a practice for me, it is not a destination nor is it about perfection. Most of the time is just about showing up and taking time for ourselves. We start where we are. Here and now.
