This class is for pregnant mamas and their partner or support person who want to prepare in a thoughtful and grounded way for one of life’s biggest transitions—welcoming their baby. This class is about preparing as a team. Whether you’re birthing or supporting, you’ll gain confidence, tools, and a shared language to help you meet the experience together—with trust, clarity, and connection. When both of you feel informed and supported, it creates a foundation of calm and strength during labor and beyond. We’ll also explore how to navigate the Swedish maternity care system—what to expect, what your rights are, and how to communicate your needs clearly in a hospital setting. Having this knowledge helps you move through the experience with more confidence. I also share my own experiences from working as a doula, weaving in storytelling and gentle guidance to help you feel more at ease. You’ll learn how to support your baby into an optimal position before birth through movement, posture, and daily habits. This course is designed to help you feel empowered—not because we can plan every detail of birth, but because you’ll have the tools, knowledge, and support to meet whatever comes your way. It’s about feeling well-prepared while also staying open to the uniqueness of your birth journey. When you feel informed and supported, it’s easier to trust the process—however it unfolds. The name Empowered Birth comes from what many parents tell me after we’ve worked together: ”I felt empowered to make choices, to listen to my body, and to feel supported in the unknown.” In a time of short reels and romanticized birth clips, many walk into labor unprepared for the full picture. My hope is to offer something deeper, space for reflection, connection, and more in-depth preparation. Warmly welcome, Ruth
