Deep Relaxation Aufguss

Join us for a deep relaxing and restorative sauna journey. This summer special Aufguss sessions are dedicated to the art of profound relaxation and inner stillness. When we relax our body and mind, more spaciousness arises. A moment to soften the heart area giving our selves space to attune to the large number of subtil sensations that unfold in our moment to moment experience and open to the flow that arises. Each session will have 3 aufguss in total and a more spacious sauna with only 18 spots. This summer special Aufguss will take place during five consecutive Wednesdays. Each session is dedicated to an element. 3rd of June: earth - Guided by Emir and Helena 10th of June: water - Guided by Helena 17th of June: fire, Guided by Emir and Helena 24th of June: air - Guided by Emir & Helena 1st of July: ether - Guided by Emir & Helena Your hosts: Emir Mujezinovic Emir works at the intersection of artistic expression, social work and well-being. He is inspired by Balkan traditions of herbal medicine, poetry & storytelling and humanistic music therapy. From his own experience of sauna and cold baths he uses it as a recipe for harmony and well-being. Helena Fernández-Cavada Helena works as a crossdisciplinary artist from a holistic perspective and in the last years her work has focused on coexistence and existential wellbeing. She is a yoga practitioner with a daily dedicated practice of meditation. Please remember to bring your own padlock. In the mixed sauna, you’re free to choose what feels most comfortable for you, wearing swimwear, using only a towel to sit on, or covering yourself with a towel. Regardless of your choice, a towel to sit on is required to help protect the wooden benches. The bathing pier is a public area, so we recommend wearing swimwear or covering yourself with a towel when heading to the water ABOUT THE SAUNA The sauna temperature is kept between 70-80°C. Thanks to the sauna’s design, we’re able to host longer aufguss sessions without the heat becoming overwhelming or exhausting. The heater is positioned one meter above the ground, which means the lower benches stay slightly cooler,ideal for those who aren’t accustomed to higher temperatures. TO BRING A towel to sit on and/or cover yourself with A towel to dry off after A padlock A water bottle (no glass, please) Bathing slippers (recommended, as it’s about 100 meters to the bathing pier) Swimwear An open mind TIMES The doors open at 19:15 for changing and landing where you will be offered herbal tea. We lock the doors at 19:25 and start the first session at 19:30. Should you arrive later, you will have to wait until the first session is completed. We aim to finish the last session around 21:00 and the sauna will be open until 21:15.
