Yin Yoga combines Traditional Chinese Medicine and Yoga and works with classical Asanas (Yoga poses) but targets the facias and also meridians (energy channels), which you probably know from acupuncture, acupressure, thai chi, Chi gong and some martial arts. It is a really mild form av yoga, which requires no prior-knowledge or physical fitness. You will slowly go into the poses at just 70% of your individual normal mobility range but hold the poses for a couple of minutes. This way we will not stretch the muscles but stimulate the fascias regeneration. The facias had long been qualified as dead tissue but this miss concept has been corrected 2017 and fascias qualifies today as the bodys largest organ. Because of the combination of working with the fascias, which from a holistic viewpoint, can hold on to and store suppressed emotions, and at the same time stimulation of the meridians, which are connected to different organs and tissues, yin yoga can lead to some psychological release and harmonies and balances the natural energy low in the body. The theme of this Session will be ”Opening the Heart”, so that we with clarity can listen to our most important compass and navigate these quite challenging times with hope, love, compassion and sanity.
